What is Argentine Tango? : Argentine Tango, the most popular dance in Argentina and one that originated there. This fast-paced yet romanticized social dances was first introduced by middle class society who lived on the suburbs of Buenos Aires back when it was still called “the Paris of Latin America.”
It has three different variants; Salon (slow), Vals (fast) Milonga -which means “party” or more specifically refers to tango music played at milongas during parties where people come together just for dancing with others partners as well as being able to enjoy drinks while doing so! The song selection is very specific depending which variant you choose: sorrowful separation/love songs tend towards slower tempos whereas upbeat tunes have higher speeds than usual
Tango is a meditative dance form where through good lead and follow the woman can dance best with her eyes closed. The man leads his partner in various linear walking movements either straight or circular patterns from torso whereas she follows by matching this moving body part, upper arm to chest as well cocking slightly at an angle behind him so that she does not lose contact even if he turns away for just one moment before facing forward again. This embrace between partners becomes what they are all about-expression through touch alone!
